Open to Public — Free Admission — Free Parking
Saturday 10AM to 5PM, Sunday 10AM to 4PM

The BECC is looking forward to its 49th annual coin and currency show January 19-20, 2013, at the Kent Commons, 525 4th Avenue North, Kent, Washington. The show is the second largest in the Northwest with over 70 dealers participating and arguably the best liked show as well. Dealers and Buyers from across the country very much enjoy our venue because of the vast variety of numismatic materials available, the low cost to the dealers and the no-cost admittance and free parking.

The 2013 show may be the first show in many years that an allotment of tables will be available for new dealers to set up. BECC wishes to maintain about 70 dealers. Although the vast majority of our dealers come from up and down the west coast, we do have dealers that come from the east coast and midwest. Unlike most shows, we try to promote some of our newer dealers by giving them a premium spot their first year. Dealers may contact Greg Smith (e-mail smithgd11@comcast.net, phone 253-737-6268) for further discussion and bourse applications.

See 2013 coin show flyer in PDF format.

Wooden nickels with the Boeing Model 40B design will be available at the coin show until supplies are exhausted. (One free wooden nickel per show attendee.)

  • FREE souvenir wooden nickels.

  • Early Bird Entry available at 8:30 AM Sat, 9:00 AM Sun for a cost of $60. Please note: "Early Birds" are expected to follow appropriate etiquette, and not disturb dealers who do not wish to be disturbed during setup. Failure to do so may result in expulsion from the show without refund.
  • YN/Scout Merit Badge Activity - (Rev. Oct 18, 2012) The BECC has set aside two tables at its January 2013 show for a Young Numismatists (YN’s) display and info. The goal of the YN table and display is to encourage and inform kids about coin collecting and answer any questions they have. There will be a video showing how coins are made. The gentleman working the table/display received his Eagle Scout award in 1982. He has offered his time again during the show to assist scouts in working on their coin collecting badge. He is the same (Coin Collecting) merit badge counselor who assisted a number of Boy Scouts in completing their merit badge at last year’s show. Workshops for the Scouts to work on the Coin Collecting merit badge are Saturday (11:00-1:00pm and 2:00-4:00pm) and Sunday (10:30-12:30pm and 1:00-3:00pm). Attending Scouts will need to attend one of the session to complete the merit badge. Please bring a ‘Blue card’, 5 state quarters (requirement #7) and a penny collection: birth year to 2012 (Requirement #9 Option “D”). If a scout is missing part of the birth year to 2012 set, there will be a penny search available at the YN table they may go through on their own time to complete that requirement. For further information contact Anthony at mtns2hike@yahoo.com. There will also be a treasure hunt for YNs to take part in as they try to complete a 2012 type set. Kids will be able to spin a wheel to see what table prize they get to walk away with (compliments of the BECC).

(*) Not all dealers will do free appraisals, and quantities and types of items that can be appraised are limited. Please inquire with individual dealers at the show. No buying or selling is allowed on Kent Commons property except with dealers renting booths at the show.

Please note: dealer tables for the BECC annual coin show sell out early. For more information, contact bourse chairman Greg Smith using the information listed on the officers page. Also contact Greg for general show questions.
