BECC Banquet Report - 2014

The Banquet was held on October 22, 2014 at the Tukwila Community Center. Tickets were $10 per person if paid prior to October 1, $25 after October 1, and $35 at the door. A signup sheet was at club meetings, or members were requested to contact Truus Lagerman or Mike Nau to sign up. John created a Northwest menu including salmon and his world famous melt-in-your-mouth prime rib, not to mention a host of other delicious treats.

Guest Speaker: The guest speaker was Becky Wallick – daughter of Boeing test pilot Lew Wallick, author, lawyer, editor and too many other accomplishments to list. Here is what she wrote about her book Growing up Boeing: "Now, my father’s passion for flying and my own for telling and writing stories is combined in Growing Up Boeing, a memoir weaving together the best test flight stories I heard as a child or obtained during later interviews with my insider’s peek behind the curtain, showing why that era was a special time to grow up in Seattle and what made being around those test pilots so damn cool." Members were encouraged to sign up for the banquet and come hear this amazing woman talk about the early jet age at Boeing and her father, one of the pillars of the test pilot community.
