Annual Coin Show - January 18-19, 2025

The BECC held its 59th annual coin show January 20-21, 2024 at the Kent Commons, 525 4th Avenue North, Kent, Washington. The show is the second largest in the Northwest with up to about 70 dealers participating and arguably the best liked show as well.

2025 BECC Coin Show Report by Dave Buehler and Tony Kalt, Show Co-Chair

  • Also see the club's February newsletter for a more complete report.
  • The show was a success.
  • Very little complaining about the admission cost (especially if I explained why).
  • Some minor grumbling about paying for admission Sunday if they paid for Saturday.
  • Most dealers were happy with how the show went.
  • 440 tickets total were given out; 305 tickets on Saturday and 135 tickets on Sunday.
Counting the additional persons from family members; the final total was more like 480.
  • Fairly good attendance by kids. Tony held the Coin Collecting Merit Badge clinic.
  • Dave and the crew at Kent Rec were exceptionally helpful and courteous.
  • We let dealers in as they arrived and it really speeds up the process and keeps the complaining down (because of the cold). Four dealers could not make it.
  • We got 3 new club members at the show.
